When will I feel.....

Had a TAH on Friday March 30th. Spinal with a catheter for 24 hours. Cath came out Saturday morning and I felt ready to pee around lunch time. Had no problems at all going. I have yet to feel the urge to pee though. I can feel that my bladder is full and taking up too much space in my already swollen belly. I watch the clock and try to get up and go every hour or so, but am wondering when the urge or feeling of having to go will come back.

Aside from this question, recovery is going well. The elusive BM happened today and was just fine. Thank goodness!!

keep going regularly, the feeling or urge should return within a few days or I would give your doctor a call. Woo hoo on the BM! That was a milestone for me!

I had surgery 2 days before you...i dont really have the urge to pee, i kinda have to force it out. I have my post op today so i am going to ask for a urine culture just to make sure i didnt get a uti from the catheter
