10 weeks post op...not quite right

Hi. I had a Full LAVH on 11/26/13 along with a bladder sling for Incontinence issues. I've had soooo many complications including a UTI and osteitis pubis. The doctor has been telling me for weeks now that I'm just not healing as quickly as others do. I'm still not cleared for full activity. I still have a weird discharge which is occasionally slightly bloody (pinkish/brownish) and still have lower back discomfort since a week postoperative. The last checkup showed that the "cuff" wasn't completely closed, so this week I go back AGAIN for clearance. I don't think things are OK. Help!

Thanks so much. The doctor looks concerned each "check"...I'm hoping this one goes better.

Re: 10 weeks post op...not quite right

Hope your doctor finds it nicely healed this time.

Part of my vaginal cuff incision had separated when I had an examination after 15 weeks (it had been almost all healed after 6 wks so was a surprise). I tried adding a bunch of vitamins and extra vitamin D and 3 weeks later they said it was way better (better enough that they could start radiation and kill all the poor cells that just finished healing, gee whiz).

I don't know if the vitamins and D helped or not, but the splits on my thumb that happen in the winter went away too. And a week after I'd stopped the vitamins one of the splits came back. I'm going to experiment some more.
