Tomorrow is the big day!

Hi! I go in tomorrow too! Dec 30. I am also scared, I'm getting the TAH (I hope I got that right) I'm keeping both my ovaries, and like you have had years (5) of pain. I have those dreaded fibriod tumors, lots of pain and heavy periods that last FOREVER.

I just wanted to take this chance to say a big thanks to the HysterSisters site, what a wonderful forum, after being on here lurking and reading up on everything at the beginning of Dec, I was armed with tons of information, and excellent knowledge from you all, to take to the doctors during these last few weeks, I'm so glad to have found this place! :-)

I'm going in at 5:30 tomorrow morning, good thing it's so early so I'll still be asleep! Today was pre-op stuff at the hospital, blood drawn and all that, it was 3 hours of stuff, I'm so sick of the hospital already and haven't even had the surgery yet. ;-)

Thank you for letting me ramble on, I'm so nervous about tomorrow! Good luck to all the rest of you waiting too!

I too will be having my surgery on Dec. 30th. I will be having a da Vinci assisted Laprarascopic Supracervical Hysterectomy. Anyone ever heard of this? My doctor must be really talented. My doctor will be controlling a robot that does the surgery. I should be nervous but I seem to be quite calm for some reason. I guess I just want this surgery over with. So, I ask you all to say a little prayer for me, my doctor and my robot!!!

Any one of us is or has been scared as surgery approaches. It is absolutely normal. You can see from this site that this kind of surgery is now very common so doctors are extremely experienced.

Also tell yourself how much better you will be soon. You will be able to lead a normal life again.

So now pamper yourself in preparation for the big day. Have a nice warm bath, candles, nice music.etc and dream of all the beautiful things you will be able to do in a few weeks.

I send you lots of and you will be in my prayers.
