5 weeks still in pain

It's five weeks to the day and I'm still in pain. I started back to work this week, trying to work half days only but stayed about 5 or 5.5 hours. My job is more physically demanding than I'd expected, although I'm not lifting anything. My pain has worsened since and I'm taking OTC pain relievers (Advil & Tylenol) every 3 hours. Pain is also waking me up at night. Decided to take all of today off to get more rest and put in a call to dr.

I had adenomyosis and extensive endo meaning lots of internal stitches especially my left side.

Anyone else having pain at this stage in the game?

I am 41/2 weeks opst-op and I returned to work part time this week and I am home today resting also. I had tavh and am feeling good I thought I could handle part time but I started spotting again and crampy on the inside so I guess we're rushing getting back to work. Hope you are feeling better.

I'm 4 months post op, work from home on the computer & I'm still in pain. I just got back from picking up a 15 lb bag of dog food from the store & my vagina is hurting in addition to the lower abdominal pains. It's just a long recovery, unfortunately. Take it easy, you may need the extra 3 weeks off work, or more. Make your doc listen to you! Good luck & pamper the princess.

Thanks for sharing your experiences. I'm feeling reassured. Staying home and resting today was just what I needed.

I'm six weeks and still have pain. As a matter of fact, day before yesterday, I had stabbing vaginal pain, took a pain pill (which I hadn't had in three weeks) and stayed in bed most of the day. From what I can tell it's just a long recovery and an absolutely must to listen to our bodies and not overdue. Good luck!
