Pre-op over with.

I had my pre-op done today. I had to have another full female exam, blood work, & they checked my vitals. The dr. said he was going to try & do my hyst. vaginally, but may have to end up abdominally. He assured me he did think there would be scar tissue. So, I guess I'm all set for Wednesday morning, 6:00 am arrival time, 8:00 am surgery time. He said I would get to go home the next day, as long as everything goes well. Now, it's getting closer, anxiety and a little scared feeling , setting in.

I was glad when he said, no bowel prep. He also told me I should be able to take a bath after a couple of days, and I could drive at the 2 week mark. :0)

KTrame,

Best wishes for an uneventful and speedy recovery. Lucky you that you don't have to do bowel prep. I hated that the most and then found out I did it wrong. I took the one you are supposed to drink by itself and I mixed it with soda. It all came out well in the end! Every pun intended.

Take care and make sure to check in on the post op recovery thread for your operation week. You will get a lot of information from others at the same stage of recovery as you are and it will help you realize that you are not the alone in the feelings your body gives you. Just remember to take it easy and do not overdo it and you'll be fine.

Pre-op over with.

So, me and my daughter are going on a mother daughter getaway & hubby and son are going on a father son getaway this weekend. Mom's going to come down and stay for a week. So, as soon as I get back Monday it's off to the store to stock up. And at home tidy up a little, since I've already dusted, cleaned, etc.. Yes, today when my dr. was telling me all the what-ifs, (jokingly) I said to him Your not going to get drunk the night before are you? He laughed and said no. Then he asked if I was alleric to anything and I told him, yes I'm allergic to hospitals. So, I'm trying to be in good spirits, but the closer it gets.....
