LAVH Returning to work after LAVH

I am 32 years old and had a LAVH on December 5, 2013. I am going tomorrow for 4 week check up. I am trying to decide if I want to ask her to release me to return to work or if I want an additional week off. How long have others stayed off work for this procedure? My job is a "desk" job but I do have a lot of up and down and walking around too. I still tire easily but I am thinking that will get better with time and once I get back into routine.

I'm headed back on Monday to a desk job after three weeks. I'm hoping it goes ok. I might have to work from home some days if it gets to be too much but I have to head back. I'm a little freaked out about it.

Only you know your body. Can you work from home some? Only go back part time?

Thanks! I am scared to go back but maybe that is just part of being off for so long too. I don't have the option to work from home and need the money.

My doctor recommended 6-8 weeks. I'm taking 6 and hoping its enough. Everyday has been different pain and comfort levels. I also have a desk job but I don't know that I'll even be ready at 6 weeks. I also had LAVH on 12/4 kept one ovary. Hope it goes well for you.
