Eight days til surgery

Hello everyone!

I am having a TAH on April 15th. I still have a few loose ends to tie up before the big day. I don't have any questions, this site has been extremely helpful. I'm glad I found it. I also feel better informed since my pre-op appt.

I just feel very scared and nervous. I feel I could break down and cry at anytime, anywhere. I also feel angry and snap at people easily. Two weeks ago I thought I purchased my last pads and lo and behold I had to go buy more supplies today!

I just hope everything is better on the otherside. I can have a normal life again.

I am 4 months post op from a TAH. I feel sort of guilty...so many of the sisters on here have had some complications. I didn't really have any problems. The first week was a little difficult but by the second I was feeling much better. I was out of work a little over 6 weeks but that was mainly because I do a lot of heavy lifting. I was so scared and nervous also. This was my first major surgery. The sisters on here were great. There is usually someone on here at all times if you want to talk. I will keep you in my prayers and may God be with you during your surgery and recovery.

Welcome! I love this board too. I am right behind you with a surgery date of April 23. I am also an emotional wreck. I feel like I am PMS 30 days a month for the last month or two.
Anyway, I will look forward to chatting with you.

Hi there you are not alone... my TAH is April 14th!!! My pre-op is tomorrow. I am anixous to get it done, I think I will feel better after that?!?! (probably not) Hopeful!!!
I am in the same boat... I try to just smile, but all I am thinking about is this surgery!!!! I am so SNIPPY!!! I actually got into a little tiff with my boss on last thurs.. I felt terriable, I couldn't believe I couldn't just drop it. I just kept going and going!! I am so embarrassed, I am not that kind of person. I think he should have just known to leave me alone.. I am finding out that not too many men really know how to act in this situaltion!!! Yes... my boss is the one that said that I am "ONLY" having a partial, because they MAY be leaveing my overies!!!! i wanted to ask him if we could do a parcial on him and only remove one of his testicals.. I actually kept my mouth shut with that one!!! I have warned them all!!! (HAHA)
We don't have much time left... hang in there!!!! I feel like I am always on this site.. trying to keep sane!!

It will all be over soon girls........the waiting is the hardest part..well...the bowel prep might be....eeww....I'm 20 days out from having a SAH I feel really good.... no complications...just bored'm...lol....i never got snippy the closer my surgery came, I got Happier! so ready for the pain and bleeding to b done!!!

Hi Sisters,

I agree with you all - my emotions are all over the place. Worst at night - quite often get teary when everyone's in bed asleep. Trying to put a brave face on it during the day - don't know if anyone is fooled though!

Just to cap it all - I saw my gyn on Tuesday and he said I needed to stop the BC pill. So what happened? Friday night I started my period again. This weekend has been a right off! Hopefully I will be well enough tomorrow to go to work - I have had so much time off over the last year and now 6 weeks more coming up. Fortunately my work have been so understanding. I am blessed to be there.
