Swelly Belly Band _help

I need help with the band, I have a couple of questions?

I first tried it when I came home from the hopsital, I used ice packs during hospital stay.

Soaked the band in ice then wraped in plastic, Leaked on bed & soaked bed.

Instructions say to put on skin & leave open to air. Do I lay around with my big stomach stiking out?

Can it still wear over clothing without getting everything soaking wet?

I still sleep with ice pack on my stomach & would like to use the band but I don't want to wake up with a wet bed.

Am I using this band wrong? I am so confused

I do like wearing it, not cooled but for support, Otherwise I carry a pillow over insecion site.

Pleae help me on how to use, right now I feel Like I wasted my money
