Anyone pre-op have Restless Legs?

I have alot of pain and cramping at night. What concerns me is being laid up and NOT being able to walk the pain away. Has anybody been affected by cramping and what have you done to relieve it? I keep complaining to my Doc about it and he seems to think there's not much he can do.

Anyone pre-op have Restless Legs?

I have RLS and the weird thing is that for about 3 weeks post-op I did not have any symptoms. NONE!
I was hoping the tumor removal made it go away but the symptoms returned now. But happily during the worst post surgery pain there was no RLS even after I stopped taking my pain meds!
Hopefully you will get a reprive also!

I have good answer to RLS!!

Hello, I also have some problems with RLS but when I had my surgery on May 23rd they put thigh high support hose on me and then these leg wraps with air tubes in them and during the surgery and for the next day and night they would alternate gently pumping air into the leg wraps. It was like a gentle leg massage, they use this to prevent blood clots, but sure made my legs feel good, and no RLS symptoms while wearing them, they would alternate every 20 seconds or so and it was great!

"Restless leg solution"

I was doing laps around the hospital ward on day 2, within 24 hours after my surgery on 3/17/2006.

The solution after your release from the hospital is MASSAGE. I continue to massage each leg (feet all the way up) with Lancome's Lait Lourdes Jambes before I go to bed each night.
