6 week check

Well, just been for 6 week check and all is fine, apart from one thing I have been uncomfortable under (Had TLH and kept both ovaries on 28/9) my left ribcage and doc said that I have had spillage during my op of blood and the blood has collected there and that it will be reabsorbed back into my body.

I have never heard of this before and I just wondered if anyone else had. I have to go back again in 2 weeks to have it checked on and they have signed me off until after New Year now as I was originally going to go back on 8th Dec to work.

I have been good and taking it easy and not overdoing it and not on any medication now.

This has pretty much shocked me!

Re: 6 week check

I had pain for a long time under my left ribcage - my surgeon said it was muscular and would go off. it has taken a while but has almost gone completely now at week 13.
I felt like something was rolling around under my rib, making it painful to bend over, reach up, twist or talk loudly, breathe deeply.
i think he said it was the abdominal muscles that cross over the stomach area - they get bruised and messed about during surgery.

Re: 6 week check

Around week 4 or so, I also had a pain under the ribcage--it started on the right side but then it was both sides. I thought it was my liver. But it only lasted a couple of days so I did not follow up. It hadn't occurred to me that it could be related to the hyster since it showed up late and did not last long.
