Getting back to intimacy after hysterectomy

Well, I haven't had any kind of sexual activity towards me, since my dr told me to stay away all together. I've worked on him of course, since there's nothing wrong with that part of my body, if you know what I mean. Lol
But I will be waiting till the eight weeks, even if I get cleared at 6, just to be sure. All I know is that I can't wait to feel like myself again. We have an amazing and wild sex life, and I'm hoping it'll get even better now.

I only kept my ovaries, lets see how all goes. I will keep you gals posted. I can't wait. 😜

I had a full hysterectomy the exact same day. Will have my 8 week follow up on 2/8. I'm feeling good I've even been in the mood a lot since surgery which surprised me. I originally had my uterus out 10 years ago but they left everything in and sex was exactly the way it was before. I have always had a healthy appetite for sex, didn't have any lubrication problems. My fear is though with having everything out that there will be a lubrication issue. Is there anyone who has had a total one and not had a lubrication problem and not have to use any type of lube? I realize that sounds silly as a question but long ago my husband voiced his opinion on not liking them. Please understand he has said many times before having and even after it won't matter to him but its me worrying about it. He says if we have to use it he is fine with it so its all me. I'm 7 weeks post op. I was going crazy libido-wise up to my 6 week check and had some great outer course with dh. I was cleared for regular intimacy but it was lacklustre and my libido is down. I still have one ovary so hoping it's just hormonal fluctuations. Anyone else experience this?

I i had a Tah, in fact, i kind had the opposite issue. I never quite made enough natural lube before the surgery. Had intimacy with DH @7 weeks post op.

Intimacy with DH was fantastic (way better than before my surgery), I used lube the first time to make sure there was no friction inside.

The second time I didn't use any lube, nor did I need any. Hope that helps!

Oh im so glad you said that. I had multiple O's before and yes they were deep and I was a little scared that those would be gone forever. I know I made my decision and I don't regret it but ive only known this of my body since the first time I can remember, Im fearful of mourning the loss. Thank you for the hope. ;-)
