Giving a little back

I just had to write about this, I work with a woman who is having a tah this thursday with some major repair done also. I was sharing with her about this site and her eyes lit up, but she doesn't have a computer so I volunteered to print up a lot of stuff off this site and take them to her each day, she called the other day to tell me thank you and I gladly told her I would pass it along to the people that deserved it , I only gave to her what was so freely given to me support, understanding, good advice and the feeling of not being the only one. I can not wait to tell my doctor about this site so she can pass it along. I read the post every day and I feel so connected to all of you. I've read post where it is suggested to get some granny panies, My question is how many sizes up do I need to go from my original size, I know for every body it is different but I need some idea.

You are sooooo right about this site , I love it! You are so good to share with your co worker As for the cotton granny panties , I bought 2 sets , 1 set was 2 sizes over my normal & the other was 4 . I perferred the 4 sizes large at first & after the second week I'm using the 2 sizes large ( I'm 3 weeks post op now). From the way my tummy feels & looks - I'll be using them for a while longer.

I shared some of the pages available here with my Dr. my last appointment. He was impressed with the pre-op question page and helpful links page. He will probably pass this info to other patients. He even made sure to answer the questions I hadn't asked from the page as he was reading it. Great DR.

Also for women who don't have access to a computer, they can buy the Hystersister book "Through the Land of Hyster" by Kathy Kelley. It has all the stories-- and more-- from the pull-down menus for Ladies in Waiting. It's nice to have it all printed out and read at your leisure.
