Hi Ladies,

I had a TVH/BSO on Tues. 29th. The most trouble I had was finding a good vein for the IV. I had a pain pump but was pleasantly surprised that I didn't really need to use it much after the first day.

They took out the IV on Wed. afternoon, then switched me to pain pills as needed. I had a little bit of nausea when I tried my first liquid meal while I was on the pain pump, but after that came out all was fine. I was up walking as soon as they would let me and I encourage all of you to do the same. The cramps in my legs and stomach seemed to get less and less the more I walked. Also, the breathing machine they give you to use will help keep your lungs from collapsing, very beneficial.

I left the hospital after lunch on Thurs. and then was kidnapped by my parents for a couple extra days so they could do things for me. It was nice to have them there to help. My incisions seem to be healing well so far and I'm sore but feeling good.

I hope and pray that all of you have as good a report as I have to share. Even though I'm feeling ok - it's still only 4 days post op, so I'm heading back to bed to rest. Hugsss to all
