TAH 10 weeks post hysterectomy and still in pain?

I had my TAH on 8/29/14, 10 weeks ago. My procedure went great, no complications, but I'm still so tender and sore in my lower abdomen. Nothing can touch it and rub against it without me cringing. It has the feeling of severe bruising, and occasionally a bad burning sensation. It also hurts to urinate, especially with a very full bladder. My doctor is aware and is relating it to a slower recovery. I'm just ready to feel completely better! Anyone else experienced pain like this this far postoperative?

Yes! I do as well. I keep wondering if I have a uti but it doesn't burn when I go and I don't have frequency or urgency, just hurts when my bladder gets full😔 at least we aren't alone.

Yes, I did. Even though i had a TVH and no incisions in my belly I was still in pain at 10 weeks and beyond. Urinating, BMs and sex all hurt. And I still had swelly belly too. You're not alone. I'm glad you're communicating this to your doctor. Hopefully it's just slow healing and you feel much better very soon!
