Knots under incisions

I had a TLH on July 3rd. I have pea size knots under each incision. Does anyone else have these, and know what they are?

Mine was June 20 and they are still there. Will they go away?

Re: Knots under incisions

As long as they are not bright red, hot and super sensitive to touch, and you are not experiencing fever, it is normal. Scar tissue builds under there and goes down after time. Kinda freaky when you are not expecting it, but know you are not alone. Hugs to you both!!

Re: Knots under incisions

Rover- my incisions are tender and sore, but not necessarily painful if I touch them. Just one knot under each incision- weird! I hope they are not keloids. I have keloids in a few places, I'd hate to have them on my belly!

Re: Knots under incisions

I had knots under mine too. They will go away with time. It was normal to have these as it was just the tissue trying to heal back. It took about 4 weeks and mine finally disappeared.
