Yoga

What kind of yoga is safe to do? Today is three weeks and I'm so ready to do my yoga, but I did Bikram yoga and my dr said with that kind of yoga I should wait a while and do a softer pace kind of yoga. So what kind of yoga did any of you did to start with before doing the hard core yoga ?

Re: Yoga

Forgot to say I still have to wait for my six weeks check up to see how I'm healing before I start doing yoga, but the hard core yoga I should wait longer.

Re: Yoga

Check out the hysterectomy check points....and when you see your doctor ask him/her what she says too....but most guidelines are no abdominal stretching or torso twisting until that 6 week mark and they give you some of the easier exrcises as a guide and example. Until reading your second post I was worried that you were already doing this.....glad your doctor was specific with you. I am 9 weeks post op, and I havent really started any exercises,,,I do not have clearance for ab exercises until 12 weeks, but getting back into the more routine day to day movements/ chores has been enough on my belly to try and get used to it again. Good luck and just remember to take it slow and listen to your belly.
