LAVH Feeling great first day after surgery!😃

Well, after several night of panic pre-op... I am happy to be post op and I feel like a huge weight has been lifted off my belly! I ended up with removal of the uterus, tubes, cervix and my left ovary due to 4 cysts, As well as a bladder taping to lift it into place. I had my surgery at 9:30 am yesterday, and was in my room by 2:00pm. I had a little nausea from the anesthesia, and a sore throat from the intubation, and not much of an apetite. I can honestly say that my pain level has not been higher than a 4, and I am solely taking Motrin 800 mg every six hours. I got out of bed this morning, walked around my room, and actually dressed myself in my new nightgown and robe! Stomach is sore, and a little swelly from the gas. Overall this has been very manageable, and I have no regrets from doing the surgery. Good luck to all who are preparing to have their surgery... You can do this!

It's good that everything is going well for you so far. Full healing is a lengthy process with ups and downs, so even when you're feeling great, remember to take it easy.
