3 weeks after surgery..check-up questions

I just had a check-up at 3 weeks. Everything was fine, but my doc said that I didn't have to come back. Should I be worried that he doesn't want to do a 6 weeks check-up? I am not sure what to think. Oh, I had a total hysterectomy and I was able to keep one of my ovaries.

Did the Dr. do an exam. I had an TAH, and my Dr. did his exam at 6 weeks to check the cuff stitches.

Hi, I only had one exam at 6 weeks post op. That was it. Every doctor is different I guess. As long as you continue to improve I wouldn't be too concerned but if you have any concerns at all, don't hesitate to call and ask to see the dr again.

Oh yes, I forgot to mention that. He did the exam and said that everything was fine, and that I was released--but still had to wait till the 4 week mark to have a bath and the 6 week mark to have sex, but other than that he said that I didn't have to come back to see him again. What should I make of this??

I had my 4 week post op yesterday. Actually it's the only one I'll have other than when staples were removed. Anyways I asked when he wanted to see me next and he said in 3 months.
He did an internal exam and said the tissue looks good but I still have stitches. He said it could take 2-3 months for them to dissolve.

But..wondering if I shouldn't go back sooner than 3 months to have him check the cuff again and make sure it's still healing ok, especially before intercourse?? What do you guys think?
