Whooo running errands yesterday kicked my rear end

BUT good thing was YES I was REALLY tired and totally slept in today BUT no pain!!!! I am 3 weeks 5 days post op from a LAVH today. So anyway I drove an hour away, went shopping at walmart w/ my mom where I rode in the electric cart and let mom push the cart. Then drove home, helped hubby unload and put stuff away. Then went oven shopping (mine is dying a slow death) so I went to Sears, best buy and HOme depot looking at ovens. Also ran into Cost plus world market and got a few things on clearance. Then sam's club to get a few things we needed now before hubby could go with me.

So note to self DO NOT go to Sam's Club without help for a while still!!!

Re: Whooo running errands yesterday kicked my rear end

Be careful not to overdo it! It's great that you aren't in pain but you don't want to get too worn out. I know I was pretty tired for several weeks and what you just described would have put me under!

You only get one chance to heal so be kind to yourself.

On the other hand, congrats for doing so well and I'm so happy to hear your recovery is progressing well. You go girl!!

Re: Whooo running errands yesterday kicked my rear end

well I slept in and was feeling great once I got awake about 9 am this morning. Took it easy then had to get me and 4 kids ready to go into town to take one to PT. Got to drive into town in a snow storm, went to the grocery store after I dropped her at PT, pick her up, drove back across town in the snow and rush hour traffic, got dinner at Mc d's and BK and headed home. HOLY cow the amount of people on the road that don't know how to drive in snow UGH!!! Got home and now I"m relaxing in my bed again w/ the laptop till time to send munchkins to bed. OH and this is my first time solo parenting since surgery and so far so good.

But I'm pretty tough and not much gets me down so I didn't expect surgery to keep me down to long. But I did force myself to not do much the first 3 weeks.
