TAH: Anyone had da Vinci for very large fibroid?

I'm scheduled for TAH with vertical incision for a very large intramural fibroid (my uterus size is equivalent to 30 - 32 weeks pregnancy). Now my husband is reading about da Vinci method and wanting me to investigate. I don't know if this method could be used for a fibroid as large as mine, with such an enlarged uterus.

The gynaecologist I saw, who seems very experienced and also caring, did not mention any surgical alternatives to TAH in my case.

Does anyone know whether da Vinci would be an option or impossible, given my condition?

My understanding is that TAH is the option for very large fibroids. I would assume that as you have been offered a vertical incision as well that your fibroid would be too large to deal with through the small incisions of a robotic process. But no harm in asking!!

Mine is about 6cm, which I think is about 12 weeks. My doctor thinks he can do it by DaVinci. It's possible doc isn't trained in DaVinci, so you might need a 2nd opinion.
