Missing O

YBC,
Be patient with yourself.You are really only 8 weeks out from your surgery. It takes time for everything to heal. Every time I had intercourse for the first few months I felt this horrible stretching feeling and like you I had always experienced that deeply satisfying O prior to my surgery. I also never needed "synthetic" lubrication. I'll be honest with you in that it is not completely back, but I have experienced it a couple of times post surgery. I have hope that I will eventually be back to normal. Talk to your doctor, but also realize that it may just take time.

I was worried and scared, because I had heard rumours about not being *able to,* post op. So we gave it a try at around 12 days or so.....all external.....and I daresay, it was EARTH MOVING GREAT.

I think my doc nailed it when he said the most important sexual organ is the brain. I'm sure not worried about it anymore. Stay positive, friends.

Amazing how many typos I see when i reread my message after it has been posted.....how embarrasing.

I tried to be proactive about this stuff at my final appt. But this wonderful surgeon didn't seem concerned much with the after stuff even though she tried her best to save my uterus. Not sure how to locate a doctor who is more educated/knowledgeable about the O and stuff after surgery.

Thank you all for your comments. Anyone else have words of wisdom I'm open to them.
