3 weeks post hysterectomy: Breathing difficulties

Hi all
I've been reading old posts and found I'm not the only one to have this problem, however no one has posted the outcome. ..
I'm just over 3 weeks post op ovaries kept and I have had breathing difficulties for the past week I've been to the hospital had a chest x-ray and relevant blood test for clots and heart problems... All clear ..I'm slightly wheezing on examination so I'm on antibiotics and inhaler, which are not doing much .. .ive never had any of these problems before.... im starting to manage it without panicking as it can get really bad then ...hopefully someone can tell me this will pass

Re: Breathing difficulties

I had this issue a few days post op, but I have asthma, and anesthesia tends to not be great on the lungs. I took steroids for a few days and it improved. I was already on a regimen of asthma melds, so oral steroids were the next step for me.

I and similar but only days after my op. I was sent for a CT scan and turned out I had a partial collapse on both lungs due to the anasthetic plus down time. Physiotherapy oats saw me several times a day for breathing exercises and to ensure I was walking as much as poss. This alleviated the issue after a few days. I was kept in for 5 nights however 4 of these were spent in ICU for lung issue amongst over things. Not sure if same for you as a delay of 3 weeks for symptoms to arise seems strange.
