Appendectomy, anyone?

I actually had my appendix taken out with my TAH BSO surgery, although I didn't know about this before-hand (not that I would have cared). The drs found some cancer (which was not unanticipated) and decided to remove the appendix. It was explained to me that if there are any problems in the future, they'll immediately be able to rule out appendicitis. Made sense to me -- one less thing to worry about.
