so nervous about recovery

I'm a single mom with an 18 year old who has been diagnosed bipolar. At her best she has very little empathy, I won't go into detail about how bad it is when she's at her worst. My big concern is handling the recovery period at home. I can't expect much (if any) help from her so essentially it will be as though I'm on my own once I get home. Advice? Tips?

I was alone but no kids. I think plan ahead and you should do fine. Freeze ahead, buy food that can be eaten cold or just reheated, use paper plates. Clean ahead, then let it go for a while. Shop and stock up, or look into grocery delivery. I needed help grocery shopping and taking trash to the curb. Otherwise I managed alone and did fine. If you normally do the cooking, that will require more planning. Best wishes for an easy recovery.

Thank you Grey! That's all good advice. I've been thinking of freezer meals I can make in advance and then just pull out to unthaw and heat as I need them.
