sex after removing ovaries

can you still enjoy sex after you remove your ovaries? do you have a sex drive at all?
i had my tvh last june for endo but still in pain so im considering getting them out but im only 28 and my husband is very active so id like to here from my sisters about this, thanks and good luck to you all

I think it's different for each individual....i've had the full plumbing removed...and believe me, it's only been 10 days since surgery and DH is looking good!!

For many women sex after hysterectomy is the same or better. There are many reasons for this. But for others, sex after hysterectomy is not the same. There doesn't seem to be any way of knowing what will be the deciding factor.

In fact it is typical and normal for women to experience a heightened libido during recovery. Perhaps it is the surges in hormones from the ovaries being jostled or removed. Whatever the reason, it is normal....and while many of these women will report a normal libido 1 year later, many do report a missing libido a few years later. We just don't know the answer. Everyone is different.
