belly apron 3+ weeks post hysterectomy

will i always have an overhang over my surgery scar or will it go in time? Will diet & exercise help? Can i ever have a flat stomach?

I'm only 5 weeks out .. But my older sister had this same surgery about 8 years ago and she has a flat stomach now. She doesn't really recall how long that took, plus she was going through chemo for some time after ( cervical Cancer ) so she had a longer recovery than most as they took out a lot of lymph nodes in addition to her hysterectomy

I'm also curios to find out, this overhang is freaking me out,.I have asked before but nobody answered me, maybe we'll get lucky and find out that it does disapear quickly

I didn't get any answers either but I've asked elsewhere and it depends what your belly was like before hysterectomy ect as to what results you will achieve but it's possible to make it better with diet and exercise x

Except for the last 2 months before the op when it swollen and during pregnancy, my belly has always been pretty flat.I exercise a lot so I was horrified when I first saw the 'apron'.Thanks for answering,have a lovely day.
