How long to schedule?
I really appreciate everyone's imput on this.
I know that I have no issues with insurance, and generally, it is not rejected, but I know a few people who have had to jump through massive flaming hoops in order to get theres. Numerous doctors had to agree, she had to try pretty much every reasonable alternative first, and a few that weren't so reasonable.
I have a hystory of fibroids, polyps, the mystery myoma( non cancerous, thankfully, but to this day, after removing two of them from the same spot, they have no clue what they are), and suspected adenomyoma, my ins company is all to happy to stopp treating the symptoms, and do something to eliminate the problem.

How long to schedule?
We decided I needed it back in Sept, but I was in classes and I wanted to wait until Sept, so I have been just bleeding like mad each month. Then I have jumped through hoops the last 2 months at the urogyno having testing done. We found my ovarian cyst last Sept. I have been having the increasingly heavy periods that come every 2 months and I use 2-3 boxes every month because my periods last 7-10 days and then like 10 days later I start again, for the last 3-4 years. They wanted to wait until I was in my 30's. Now I am 33 and really having problems. I saw my gyno again Monday and had my interview and then an exam and then bloodwork and now they are attempting to get it scheduled for early July. It has been a long process.

How long to schedule?
It took 6wks for me to received a surgery date. I had my annual check-up Feb. Doc told me I needed to have a hysterectomy. I knew I couldn't have one then because my kids were in school. So June was the best time for me. I called in March and did not get a surgery date until April.

How long to schedule?
Have any of you used a private practice?
My doctor is part of a private practice, so I am wondering how that will change the timeline, too.
When I had my myomectomy/resectoscopy/D&C back in early april, it was scheduled within two and a half weeks, would have been less, but their scheduler was on bereavement leave.
I know that it will also play into what the wait at the partnering hospital is like. Well, I will know tomorrow!
