Re: Question for you ladies: lifting (child mentioned)

Yes, I kind of thought that it was very rude of her to say that after 7 days no more pain meds. I am sorry but I am still in pain and so are probably all of her other patients that she does this surgery on and won't help out with the pain. I find it to be kind of unprofessional myself. I am just trying to wait out for tomorrow so I can go to my GP and try to get some help since my surgeon apparently isn't going to give me any.

Re: Question for you ladies: lifting (child mentioned)

Everyone is different. Had very little pain after surgery and was off meds right away. However, now, 8 weeks post op, I pushed myself too far and am n pain. My surgeon was adamant about taking pain meds if I needed it. He said it was better to be up and around than laying in bed in pain. Since it's the weekend, try calling the hospital and ask for the on call ob/gyn. Explain you just had surgery and are still in pain. I got a UTI on the weekend and that's what I did. They called in a prescription for me.

Doctors can call in prescriptions for antibiotics; however, prescriptions for narcotic pain medication can't be called in. The prescription has to be brought to the pharmacy.

I wouldn't do it! Get her to practise climbing onto your lap! Less damage to everyone in the end...

absolutely no to picking your DD up, about the pain meds though i would call your surgeon and explain to them that SHE NEEDS to give you the meds not your GP and if she still says no speak to her office manager. and then have your GP call her and tell her that he is NOT going to give them to you because it IS HER JOB!!
