Tomorrow's the day...& I'm not doing so well....

I don't know if it is normal to feel afraid before surgery. I do know that almost everyone on this site feels that way. And they all seem to come out the other side just fine.

I have a few more days to go, but I'll be thinking of you and all the LIW who will be having surgery tomorrow.

{{{{Eileen}}}} I felt the same way. Take some deep breaths and try to stay calm. I took hot bath the night before and read a good "non medical" book while laying in bed. Went right to sleep.

Good luck tomorrow...I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Eileen, sorry I didn't catch you before you went off line...but I am sure everything will go okay tomorrow...I will light a candle for you, and say a little prayer...God will watch over you as he does us all...

oh hon!I know this is the last thing you want to hear but try to relax! Everything will be fine and from what I have heard (I am still pre op) you will feel so much better! I will be praying for you and please let me know how you are doing!!!!s and good luck tomorrow!

Hi cookie. I know how you feel. I was in your shoes just about 6 weeks ago. Keep your faith with GOD and he will guide the surgeons hands to make you a healthier YOU. If you feel you need something to calm you down, I'm sure they can arrange that too. I had a zanax 2 hours before I had to be at the hospital, DR's orders, then I got 2 Valium when I got there. By the time I got to the holding area I was completely gone. Then they give you the "I don't care medicine" I think it is called verced <spelling?>. Hubby was there and actually asked the dr if I was ok and since I was hooked up to everything he said yes, she's fine, she's just off in her own little world.
