dVH/RALH: 10 days til surgery & feel like sex craved teenager

Holy moly. I'm 10 days until surgery and hubby and I can't get enough of each other. You'd think we will never have sex again. Anyone else sex craved as you prepare for surgery?

I think we are scared of the "what ifs" that could happen with surgery. I think this is one of my biggest fears since we just got our sex life back last year after I started the hormone pellet therapy.

10 days and counting ... My nerves are getting the best of me. :-(

It isn't uncommon for the anxiety of surgery to bring couples closer. Many wishes for a successful surgery and swift, uncomplicated recovery.

I went through the same thing. Think it was the anxiety of the what if's. I was so worries about losing my sex drive, which has alway been high. I'm here to tell you that even with no hormones, my sex drive is still there, and tomorrow is my 6 week check up. Hoping for the okay to have sex..lol. Hubby says he's taking the day off

(as a on running gag) I tell my bf that we need to do it as much as we can before surgery. I tell him that we don't know what it will be like after. I could be like a virgin again... lol I may be cracking jokes but my mind does worry some. what if... what if... what if....

I was the same way. As a matter of fact... We had sex 13 days after. We were VERY careful. I was lucky and was ok, because he was soo gentle. Think it is normal to be one extreme or the other before surgery.

Please follow your doctor's instruction in terms of sex afterwards. Scragtopgal was very lucky not to have hurt anything. If you have a vaginal cuff (that is what the top of the sewn vagina is called if your cervix is removed), you risk to rip it wide open, have lots of bleeding, and to have another surgery to repair the damage. It isn't worth the risk in my opinion.
