Do members stay after 6 weeks?

I love this support group and I hate to leave when 6 weeks are over. I have such great support and it is nice to know I am not alone. Should I stay after 6 weeks and try to offer my support?

Also I know that I will still be healing on the inside. I haven't seen much in a way of dissolving stitches either.

I don't want to have to leave after 6 weeks either. I have read some posts from people who have been members longer then that, but I would like this answer as well.

I love this support group too. It has been most beneficial over the past 9 weeks (today). It's hard to believe both June and July have come and gone and tomorrow is August. The day of my surgery, my recovery seemed so far in the future.

I never noticed much of dissolving stitches. I still have some itchiness and minor discharge but no spotting or other problems so far.

Oh my no you don't have to leave after six weeks. I have been here for almost 5 years!!

Having members staying around is what helps keep the site free!!!!!!! So most defintiely stay as long as you want. 6 weeks is just intitial recovery, full recovey takes 6 to 12 months.

Some members leave for a time and pop back in when they get a 'hysterversary' reminder.

You peeps are awesome and I don't know what I would do without you all! Yes I know we still have internal healing to do. I also get little tinges of pains now and then but nothing major.

Hey I still need a hand with a question or two here. Nevermind that its been six weeks. You guys are cheaper than my shrink.

I am just past my year after my hyster I come back to help other members on their jorney they are taking this site has helped me a lot in my last year and the support I have received has helped me a lot

I plan on staying!! I figure if I can help others through this, it makes my journey all the more worth it!! I have gotten a wealth of knowledge and support from this site, so now it's time to give back! Take care everyone!

I love this site too. I am almost six weeks post op and starting to feel like my old self again. Even when I am past my six weeks I am still going to come on here to help other women. I got a lot of support from this site and the women on here have been so great.
