what I learned from this surgery
This is what i learned from this surgery:
Buy maternity underwear to wear for the first few weeks, they look bad, but are so comfortable.
Do not be afraid to ask your family and friends to bring meals and wait on you, you will need it.
Stock up on trashy magazines and light reading, you will not feel up to that 1500 page book for a long time.
Set up stamps, notecards, and all the people you want to send a card to. you do not need to write a novel, just a quick note and it helps you feel like you have done something in the day.
Get a heating pad. i hate heating pads, but was given one when i had my surgery and it has become my new best friend, i sleep with him more then my husband.
Rent a bed side table to put all my meds and books and remotes on, it is so much easier then the night table.
Check this web site for questions and answers it saves alot of time and at 3am when you really should not be calling your dr, you can be comforted that you are not the only one.
