July 22 makes it T - 16 and yeah, I'm hyperventilating a little.

Deep calming breaths now
Try to stay busy so that you have less time to worry and stress. It can be fun things - I enjoyed movies and lunch with friends, shopping for comfy jammies, a day at the beauty salon. Do something that YOU really enjoy. I also found nice long soaks in the tub relaxing.

I feel it too~ I am scheduled 7/22/07 @ 11 am.. now I just )want it over with.. (but then again I don't..) I was FINE until a friend called and got me all wound up... now I am reaching hard to find my peaceful inner self.. Went to Mass today,, feel much better, Logically I know I will be fine,, emotionally... a small fear of dying under general anesthesia.. but I know I won't esp., since it is my friend and the Chief of Anesthesia... he is the best.. all will be well....
See you all on Wed or Thursday when I return home... Happy and healthy and uterine free!

Arlynn, me too....we share the same date.
Been keeping extremely busy with trimming the basement and staining concrete and landscaping. We're hosting a reunion at my house the Sat. before our surgery. I've got a list a mile long to accomplish before then. (maybe I'll just erase a few things and no one will notice).

So, we just need to relax a little...lunch with some friends sounds like something that would be a welcome treat.

Ordered my bath bench and Swelly Belly Band (tm), bought the post-op panties, have the new mattress. House half cleaned.

The weekend before the surgery I'm going to the woods. I'll find a nice place away from people and listen to the birdsong echo under the canopy.

I'll sit on the dirt and feel the Earth turn, knowing I'll be turning with it.

T - 13.

Hubby is spending the evenings watching the DVDs he bought for me. That means I get all the housework--cooking, dishes, laundry. I suspect he's doing it on purpose...

Mom keeps asking me what hour is my surgery. I've told her three times I won't know until the clinic on the first. Hubby keeps thinking it's the 6th instead of the 8th, and I'm getting more and more annoyed at everyone.

They should know by now that I am the center of the universe and nothing counts except what's happening to me. Don't they realize their problems don't matter??

I need my sitting-on-a-rock-in-the-woods time badly.

Just wanted to chime in with I know what your going through. As I type this I have to leave for the hospital in about 30 min. I had serious thoughts of canceling last night, first because I pulled a hamstring in the back of my leg, and my colitis is acting up. Sorry, TMI. Also I'm just scared spitless. But then I think about the dreaded Ms Aunt Flo and I remember why I'm doing this, well the best of luck to you all, I'll update as soon as I'm home with my crown

Preop tomorrow.

Last Friday I got a pain the length of my spine that seems to have settled at the base of my neck. Must have slept wrong or pulled something. Just not getting better either. Dh says it's probably tension.

Speaking of which, he said the sweetest thing today. We were talking aobut how to get to the hospital and I said, "and then you need to get home."

"I'm not going home."

"What?"

"Not 'til you do. I'll sleep in a chair if I have to. I'm not leaving you. Besides...I don't want to be in that house without you..."

Aaaaahhhh, Arlynn, that was the sweetest thing for your DH to say. Sometimes I wish mine would say something like that just to let me know he cares...but unfortunately he is the quiet type and prefers to keep his thoughts to himself when it comes to things like this. The best I've been getting the last few days is a playful smack on the butt everytime he walks past me. I take comfort in knowing that that's his way of reaching out to me.
