LAVH/BSO set for 6/21

Yay... on my way. I'm glad that it's a few weeks away. Now I can be assured that we'll be able to have some camping weekends beforehand. Hopefully all will go well and we'll be camping again AFTER the surgery, but with the summers in Wisconsin being so darned short, I am glad that I can be sure of at least a couple of trips before the surgery.

They say I will be in the hospital for 24 hours afterward, barring no complications, and hopefully as long as the procedure stays as a LAVH rather than a TAH. Guess we'll see when I wake up, but for right now I'm thinking optimistically with the easier recovery time of a LAVH. I have total confidence in my doctor either way, so I will know that no matter how it ends up, he will have done it all for a reason.

So now I feel like a "real" member. lol I cannot wait to start feeling like a real person, to enjoy my womanhood... too bad it can only happen after the part that makes me a woman anatomically is cut out. :rolleyes I've spent too many years in gripping pain or fear of pain and it's impacted my life too much. I am sooo excited at being able to live a real life I'm almost crying right now. lol

((( Lisha ))) , I'm happy that you have a date and can look forward to an end to your problems & still get to enjoy some of your summer first. Have a great time on that camping trip.

I think that you'll still be a "real" woman, even without those parts! I know that I am. IMO, it's our hearts that make us what we are.

Best wishes, I'll be praying that all goes well for you.
