I too had bladder issues before surgery. Besides the enlarged uterus with inside fibroids I also had a outside fibroid pushing and wrapped around my bladder that wasn't seen on the ultrasound beforehand. I have not had any bladder issues at all since surgery!

Very interesting. For two years I've been "chasing curing" a bladder infection. My urine smelled awful and it was cloudy. When I would see a doctor I was always told I had no infection. I would also go very slowly in the morning and, during the day when I would think I had an empty bladder, for no reason, dribble dribble.......OMG!

My first time going the morning AFTER my hysterectomy, my urine was clear and had no odor! My doctor said since my uterus was retroverted and the largest fibroid was at the top, it pushed the uterus towards my back even further which pushed the cervix up into the bladder most likely causing the bladder issues. I catch myself just staring at my clear urine each time I go now just because I have not seen it that way in a couple of years
