8 weeks post hysterectomy - can't sleep... ???

I am 8 weeks post-op and for about the past 4 weeks have been having an extremely hard time sleeping. I had a TAH and kept my ovaries.

When I do sleep, it is for short blasts and up often for peeing. I wake up much easier than I used to and any normal sound will bring me out of my sleep.

I used to get 6-8 hours of sleep and now I am lucky if I get 3-4. And that is broken up sleep not good deep sleep.

I try napping, but lay there and have racing mind games and get frustrated and get up.

My doctor said if this continues for another couple weeks (also with this I am experiencing hot flashes) she says I can get a shot of estrogen to help kick start my ovaries back up.

I work as an Educational Assistant so have been lucky to have an extra week off past my 6 weeks off medically but go back to work next week. I am worried about how I am going to be able to pull this off with so little sleep!

Help please! What can I do other than taking drugs which I don't want to do....
