tender area around incision

it's 3 weeks today and for the past week it's like the numbness has worn off and i can "feel" around my incision-the area has totally healed and quite beautifully i might add, but i feel real tender around it and just swollen in that particullar area....anyone else in my boat? forget getting anywhere close to a countertop-if i brush against it it's just as bad as my sneeze!

tender area around incision

It's been nearly 5 months for me. The incision healed beautifully. BUT I still get "Owies". Pinches and pings and "all sorts of things" (G).

It seems to hurt more during humid weather. Or when I carry something heavy. (Or whenever it FEELS like it!)

Three weeks isn't very long. But if you're concerned, mention it next time to your doctor.

tender area around incision

I am 3.5 weeks (July 11th surgery) and yes I feel very sore at the incision, still swollen, my belly now 'hang's over the low bikini cut incision. It looks really ugly. I'm getting out at least once a day but I'm not even close to what i used to be energy wise. I'm also feeling very blue mainly because me and my boyfriend just broke up, not the best timing for me! OH WELL...keep me posted on your recovery since we're so close...all the best!

oh no!!! what a sad thing about you and your boyfriend-i'm so sorry-you must stay strong and don't hinder your getting well.....my belly hangs over my incision too!!!! i see though that it's mainly whatever is in there is still swollen and "mad" that it was messed with. some days it's not too bad, others it's big enough for me to know it's there and be uncomfortable. we'll go thru this together. and you my friend, will survive the break up. you'll be so amazed at the strength this will give you! i'm sending some your way!!!!!!!

In the same boat! I was just wondering when I would ever get used to sneezing and coughing again. Now I'm getting anxious to go back to the gym. And those 'little'zappers...

tender area around incision

I am tender in the same area. Today as I was lying next to my Sweety, we noticed a strange odor where the incision. My belly and pelvic area is still tender to the touch and if I get hot anything touching it irritates the area. But the incision looks well, no more pain, so I don't complain.
