pessary questions

Trying to come to terms with a pessary giving me the help I need to make it through the next few months until surgery. I AM NOT AMUSED with the thought of that nasty thing in me. I am 41 and have a 3rd stage prolapse. I am always feeling uncomftorable (not really what I would call pain) just a bad case of the yucks! Lately I have began having lower bacl pain as well which I think is uterus related. Questions:#1- do you take the thing out when your period statrs-seems like you'd have to. #2 -do you lubricate it to put it in,obviously I would think so. #3-If you had sex with it in would it tear? #4- Is sex more comftorable after wearing the thing? In other words will it temporarily keep it lifted when it is first removed?
