Re: Anyone else dealing with fatigue?

I am only at the 2 week mark but I have had several days of literally sleeping around the clock. My husband has taken to joking that "oh is it time for your 24 hour nap". Mine is kind of complicated by I had two separate surgeries 3 weeks apart (the first exploratory, the second the hysterectomy) so I think exhaustion has definitely taken its toll on me.

Yes, you can search and find my very similar post about a week ago. I was 4.5 weeks and needed to nap most of the day. This week is a little better, but I'm still tiring VERY easily - like resting after a shower or an errand. I've been more tired the last two weeks than the first 3!!!

It's so hard. I have no energy to do anything. And things aren't getting done. I just want to feel better.

Yes! I'm exhausted all the time and can't sleep well at night. This is no fun at all! I'm ready to be more normal!!

Re: 4 weeks post-op: Anyone else dealing with fatigue after hysterectomy?

exhaustion, constipation, swelly belly, aches and pains -- these are our friends the first 4 to 6 weeks or more depending on your surgery and whether there were complications.
Hang in there sisters -- it does get better.

I had no complications so I went back to work after the 4th week. The next two weeks it was wake up, go to work, come home eat dinner (DH still making dinner), then relax in my big chair with icepack on my swelly belly and go to bed early. I'm now past my 8th week, I'm still tired, but not exhausted (until Friday).

Just remember why you had your surgery, that it was a good thing, and that you will heal in time.

Good luck.
