Hysterectomy Tuesday. I still have not had a bowel movement today - Saturday.

Dont worry too much over it. It took me 8 days.*But*to get totally back to my normal self 8 weeks! I used glyceryn suppositories right at first and milk of magnesium. Now I take magnesium on a regular everyday basis and cut out all breads and heavy red meats. You just need to go easy on your bowels for healing. Dont expect a whole lot of bms because if you are eating light and very small portions than it may take you a lil while. It will come. Dont freak out like I did. Hi Are you still taking the stool softers? If not please continue taking them. Because as long as your on pain meds you will be constipated. Now if you are still taking the stool softers, you will be having an explosion very soon my friend. lol Increase your water intake. also try all natural Bolthouse Farms Berry Boost drink. It has a lot a fiber and fruit. This helps me a lot
