22 Days post daVinci hysterectomy and bleeding

Last week I went in to the dr because I caught myself from falling on ice. She said I had pulled muscles and I have developed pneumonia. She did an exam and said my vaginal cuff looked good and stitches were intact. She had to feel it too. I was spotting some light pink before that. But since then I've been having red blood. The first few days after it was like a period. Is this normal?????

As of today i am still bleeding. Sometimes spotting sometimes like a light period. At times it's bright red, pink, and brown. I talked to the nurse last week and she said if it got heavy to call them. Is this normal??!! I'm worried. And still having some sharp pain on my lower right side.

When in doubt, call your doctor. Better safe than sorry.

Call the doc- you will feel better talking to the doc, but most likely its the after bits of healing. It got pretty outlandish for me at the 3 week mark, then all of a sudden nothing.
Remember: bright red AND soaking a pad in an hour, or smells bad, fever, severe and acute abdominal pain etc is a big flag to tell you get thee to a dr.

But seriously, call the dr...use the on call number. You will feel better, and they want to know. You are not crazy or panicy- you are a patient. They are there to help.
