Thankyou all for your kind wishes they are very much appreciated...

just had my last meal until surgery. Had blood work today and an EKG. bags packed house and room ready.. Whew. The date came up sooo quick. feeling a bit anxious, but thanks to all the wonderful advice you've all given I feel much better. I don't think I could have done this without any of you! To all my sisters going to surgery this week and beyond I wish you the best and will be sending a prayer your way. I'll chat at ya when it's over. nite

Yep, had my "last meal" of pancakes! My husband knew they're my favorite, plus he is the Pancake King and makes the best around so he made me a supper of pancakes last night.

Today is my day to have nothing but clear liquids and the dreaded bowel prep. Tomorrow, I have to be at the hospital at 5:45 am for surgery at 7:30 am. I'm first on the roster because I have a latex allergy so they want to be sure the OR is sparkling clean.

My bags are packed except for the stuff I'm using today, my "nest" downstairs is ready (hubby dragged a bed downstairs for me all by himself this morning!!!!!! I had planned to just sleep on the sofa so I thought that was extraordinarily special of him!), my stack of jammies is ready and I have a supply of books and movies to pass the time. The Colace, prunes, laxatives and fiber drinks are purchased and ready...what else am I missing?

I thought it especially sweet that one of hubby's coworkers sent me a DVD set of a documentary called "Planet Earth" because she knows I love that series. Isn't that truly sweet? I'm blessed and lucky to have all this around me now.

I'll see all my December 9th sisters on the other side!

4 weeks ago it was the eve of my trip to the castle .... I'm feeling soooo much better!! My heart goes out to all of you - it's a long day/night before your trip .... hopefully all of you will be like most of us and be able to say "the worst part was the waiting and worrying".
