99% scared 1% happy or is it 99% happy 1% scared
How's everyone doing going into there final week(s) pre-Op.
i'm finding myself going on an emotional roller coaster. i'm fine then another Dr's Appt and get scared or nervous or fear they are going to cancell on me.
Then i have a final period party and find the reason i'm doing this and feel happy.
i also go through the emotions of "am i going to die on the table" then i say will be will be.
i want to prepare for death, but my husband and family think i'm nuts and that thinking is negative.
so i push those thoughts away, and don't care if i haven't washed the windows, scrubbed the floor. (it will be here for when i return home).
is this a normal reaction. some people say they mourn the loss of there reproductive organs, but (i also have 2 grown children so it's different than not having any), but i don't , well maybe a little i think.... i'm not using it anymore, so get rid of the garbage. i want to think and prepare for a new chapter in my life. sex no pain, sex anytime anywhere, a normal woman with no PMS, No pain, no medications. a new life, this is my Mid Life Crisis..... not a convertible, but being normal ( if that exists) please tell me I'm not in a fantasy, please tell me i'm doing this and it does get better.
is anyone out there that has kept some/part of an ovary and the outcome.
thanks to all Princesses for a new walk of life.
Bless you all, have courage and stay focused.

Re: 99% scared 1% happy or is it 99% happy 1% scared
I know how you feel. I said good bye to the dog before leaving the house to go to have the surgery and my husband went nuts. I said I always say good bye when I won't see him overnight. But with any surgery there is always a chance of the worst case senario. So to say.....yes what you are feeling is normal but try not to stress too much cause you will come thru thinking why did I put myself thru all that. Also I think feeling bad for so long for some of us had become our normal, so you may stress but also take the time to think about all the fun you will be having once it's all over!!! Blessings in abundance to you!

Re: 99% scared 1% happy or is it 99% happy 1% scared
thanks for replying, now i'm going to miss my dog. he's always around me and just until now never thought i would be away from him, just the kids and hubby. i need to buy dog treats suck him up too! how did the dog react when you came home, mine is always excited even when gone for an hour..........seems like days to him. (just don't want him jumping and being disrespectful, but i know he misses me, but i don't want to get hurt.
all the things we do everyday, we kind of take advantage , and dont;think about it till its gone. As for the pain being normal with you 100%, so what is the new "NORMAL"
wishing you a speedy recovery.

Re: 99% scared 1% happy or is it 99% happy 1% scared
I have felt great!! 8 days post op and feeling like a million bucks. I'm still taking it easy so that I don't have a relapse though. I have a small Bijon Friese and when I came home he knew something was wrong but he just sat back and watched me like a stalker for a few days then inched his way back at my feet. It wasn't very long for him to stress out and my husband and daughter was with him while I spent the night in the hospital. I was home and relaxing before noon the next day. All and all I am really mad with myself for waiting so long to get this taking care of......I was really cheating myself of pain free days.

(((hugs ))) yes it is very normal what you are going threw hun. I was happy one minute, mad the next and then crying 15 minutes later. I was not ready to give up my reproduction organs, but I knew it was the best for me. I have to say that I am 10 weeks post op I LOVE the new me and wish I would of had this done sooner. Love making is great!! No pain or heavy bleeding. I did keep my ovaries and because of that I still cycle but without the bleeding which means Hun I still have PMS. Are you keeping your ovaries? If so and you have pms you will still have pms after surgery. I still get the sore breast, mood swings and all the other lovely symptoms that go along with it. But I was not ready to go threw menopause so I am okay with it lol. Good luck Hun.

Re: 99% scared 1% happy or is it 99% happy 1% scared
thanks so much for the reply
i'm thinking that i should have done this 10 years ago, but didn't want to be on therapy or have more emotions than now or be in menopause.
why do women only have to deal with this and the men just sit back and nod their heads.
i have two young men and honestly i think i damaged them for life. they don't want anything to do with girls because they say we are all *****es, i said the other day to them i know i'm a *****. and they looked at me and said " you do" yes id do but just for a couple of hours be in my body and then your'll know what is like . i think they have an understanding now, but still don't want to deal with women., my husband is the greatest for standing by me for so long
