Something new.....

I just finished my morning (afternoon) shower and lifted up my "banana" to check out my incision. Anyway, right in the middle is a small raised area, sort of purplish. No pain -other than I already had, no oozing anywhere just this new thing. Anyone have a clue - I don't want to call my dr if it's nothing - on the other hand if it could be something....

Anything new or different should be discussed with your dr. I wish I had an answer for you, but I don't. So instead, here are some hug: !

Kitty,
I am always finding new lumps and reddish/purple spots on my incision and it's been 9 months! Sometimes they are a little tender but most of the time, not.The lumps are adhesions (scar tissue) I found out from my doc and the purple spots are just bruises from the adhesions (from inside out) even though I didn't do anything to cause them. If you are really concerned I agree with Weiser to call your doc.

,
I had this happen to me with another surgery..not my TAH. It was a knot from the inside stitches that surfaced, eventually most of them surfaced & popped out like a blemish . It was the begining of an infection..my body was rejecting the stitches. My daughter also had this happen with c-section NO infection for her . I'd call the Dr. just to be safe. Best wishes on your recovery.

God Bless
Lori
