11 days to go and hubby has no clue what will need to be done......
Ok I am scheduled for Nov. 14th at 7:30am, yesterday I found out that my work will not help me financially so I was a basket case last night, (as you might see from my last post.) My DH is a rock, he said we'll get through this no matter what, even though i was crying saying we can't do it financially. So by end of today, I realized what he was saying and that if i put this off, i'll be to scared to do it. I haven't started "nesting" yet, but I know I will soon, as I have a WHOLE list of stuff I want to get done, buy etc. etc. I think I'll leave the holiday stuff to DH, he is so good at getting stuff done when need be, might not be when I want it, but we all know how that is. So I'll get as much done as possible and leave the rest to him. With 2 teenage GIRLS and 3 dogs, and ME laying on my back, he'll have his hands full. If he only knew what I was getting him into, he'd probably tell me postpone, postpone. Im trying to keep a comical side to me, as most times, i am fretting and worried, but guess thats part of the course. Thanks for all the stuff i've read and good luck to all before me and after me.

It sounds to me like your DH is a real "keeper"
Since he has told you that he's ready and willing to help you get through it all - let him
I know that it's hard to let go and let others care for you but do try. Sometimes, we have to remember that we and our health need to come first. Do what's right and best for you. Your family will benefit from it too.
in there.

I have the dh, 2 teenage girls, dog, etc etc.
I've made a number of lists ---
One is what dh needs to do this weekend. One for me this weekend.
One for each of us for next weekend too.
Then a "universal calendar" for all that needs to be done & when after the surgery. The girls are aware that Dad's driving everywhere and they can't double-book him!
I've done all Christmas shopping except for my daughters which I'll try to do in December or have hubby do it.
What doesn't get done before, will wait.
I've got a few people on board to help before and after but I hate the idea of not doing it myself. This will be a very humbling experience to let someone else do things "their way" and not mine!
