Pain during urinating and or bm

Hi I'm new to the forum glad I found you.
I'm 2 wks post op, partial hysterectomy. I have constant cramps that feel like menstrual cramps. When either urinating or passing a bm. I have incredible sharp pains that worsen as the fluid or bm continues.
There is no UTI. Is anyone else experiencing this? It wasn't discussed by my Dr.

I am 2wks post op, and I also have the same thing. I have cramps all the time, and when I am getting ready to have a bm they get worse. Then when I am done the cramps go away. I think this is normal, because the rectum wall is right against the vagina wall. My doctor said that you will experience alot of cramps and pressure.

Thank you so much. There have been a lot of things I wasn't told prior to my surgery. This was my first surgery and I didn't/don't know what to expect. I've learned a lot on my own. I'm sorry you're going through this and I hope you feel better soon.

Hi Ladies -
FYI - I just returned from the doctor. The stabbing pains we feel when we urinate, pass gas or make a bm are NORMAL. Cramps are also NORMAL. My doctor told me the bladder is right on top of the uterus so it takes some time for everything to heal.
We are okay and not losing our minds.

I went into the ER on Sunday regarding the same thing. I had called my dr. and I just wasn't satisfied with the explanation I got (my dr. wasn't the oncall dr.).I wanted someone to look at me. Had it all explained to me. We're all ok, what a relief.
