Thyroid cancer risk?

I asked my Endocrinologist friend about this and he said he had never heard of such a correlation- but just be known that hormones (or lack there of) and surgery(any kind) can trigger any number of complications that the "right " study could find causality. My experience in ten years of critical care medicine is that the body is capeable of almost any kind of surprise and there is no way the average patient could be made aware of EVERY possible complication. That is why it is wise to do your research, partner with your physician and ask tough questions - even if you may not want to hear the answers. Just follow good health care practices - recommended screenings, healthy lifestyle and be aware of your body!
