help-scary new crampy, burning pain on left side

Hi sisters,
I am 17 days post op TAH/BSO also a lot of scraping to remove adhesions on bladder,colon,ureter...etc

My post today is because I am a little scared at a new symptom. It is a scary crampy, burning, spasm like pain from under my left rib down left abdomen. This is a totally new symptom. I can't get any relief no matter what position I am in,laying, sitting, standing still feel it. It is constant. I have been off Percocet for about 5 days and switched to Toradol, which does nothing.
My bowels still aren't right although I am having bm's, they aren't like pre surgery. My bladder seems to be fine.
I just can't seem to shake this new pain. If it is muscle pain or spasm, it is severe! It almost feels like an organ twisted or something. I can point to the exact point where pain is the worst. I haven't called my Dr yet, I just took 600 mg Advil to see if it helps at all, but I don't expect it to.
Has anyone else had this or something similar? Does anyone know what this could be? With it being so late in my recovery it is kind of scary to have a brand new symptom of pain...thanks for listening!

Re: help-scary new crampy, burning pain on left side

Leslie - you are NOT at all late in your recovery, not even three weeks! I would totally contact your doc ASAP. A pain this severe that isn't responding to meds warrants a call. Good luck, gentle hugs, and keep us posted.
