Pre-op

Hello princesses,

I had my pre-op appointwent which went very well. My husband and best friend were present. I took my journal with me, that came in my deluxe princess package. I can not thank you guys enough for that. I asked my doctor all of those questions, plus ones that I had written in. My husband and best friend asked questions as well. I kind of felt sorry for my doctor because she was really bombarded. Through it all, she remained very professional, patient, and compassionate. We all feel really good about her, and the anesthesiologist.

I had to go for my blood work and typing yesterday. They put this band on me, told me, that I had to wear it the whole weekend, and could not get it wet. Well I was out shopping and the thing just fell right off of my wrist. If my hubby can not fix it, I will have to do this all over again. I have to be at the castle at 6:15 am. They informed me that they would try to be operating by 7:00.

Now with all the stress of getting my staff prepared for the time that I am going to be off, all of the running around, and all of the people that have been seeing me, I have now developed a fever. I feel pretty darn terrible and I am coughing my head off!!! I am really going to try to take it easy these next 2 days.

I want to thank everyone for being supportive, and encourage you all to write to me more. Have a great weekend everybody.

I would try and call you doctor right not and see if she will call you in a antibotic. I was told no surgery with fever or infection. A couple days of a antibotic may be enough to knock out what you have, or at least get it in control.
Good luck sweetie!!!

They won't operate if you have a fever. Best to call your doctor right away. Also, you want to tell them the red band fell off. I was told if mine fell off they might postpone surgery, even if I put it back on. They need to make absolutely sure that if they need to give you blood that they have the right type.
