Question about strengthening pelvic floor muscles.

I spoke to a friend today, who said that toys (vibrating small toys) could help with making stronger muscles down below, as well as helping with getting our urge to have sex. Any thoughts on this?

The only thought I have is hmmm does this work? I would be interested in knowing this too!

Well one of my going home instructions was NOTHING IN THE VAGINA for six weeks! I think that would include sex toys. Yes?

yep, it does. Had to find out for myself. In fact, it is helpful with muscles, like kegels sort of. I needed to find out if I still had that feeling....yee-haw

My instructions were also nothing in the vagina for 6 weeks. I do know that kegal exercises do help, and I am not sure about the toys, but as someone said, they did find out that it does help. I try to do kegals once or twice a day, ALL THE TIME. For me, it just feels better and helps to give me strenght back there.

Oh, not "in the vagina! I wear silk undies and have this little buzzy thing that I bought at a ladies underwear shop. I read on the internet that it help get that "special feeling back. My hubby was more than happy to drive to the shop. Poor him, but ya for me... but really, it's a good thing...

I was told by my doc that there was to be no play what-so-ever for at least 6 weeks. Definitely nothing in the vagina, but also he suggested that I refrain from orgasm because spasms could very well harm the insides of my belly where I had lots of stitches. Just something to keep in mind. :-)

ok janet, go into detail....what is the name of this "buzzy thing" and where can I get one?

At four weeks, and only uterus out, I needed to see if I still was my old self. It does NOT go into the vagina. You use your clitorus. Gee, my docto never said no orgasm. Hell, I had one in my sleep two weeks after surgery.

As far as the buzzy thing, two types, The jelly bean, or my favorite the Silver bullet, and you can get them at Lingerie stores, on line good luck and have fun with the "buzzy thing"

There are more than two types. Depending where you shop. I have seen various types from butterflies and bugs to ones that look like oversized capsules.
